🇯🇵 Grown in Yame, Japan
Our matcha is sourced from Yame, Fukuoka, a region renowned for producing high-quality Japanese green tea. Yame is particularly known for its rich, umami-forward teas.
🌱 First Harvest
Our matcha comes from the first harvest of the year, known as shincha/ichibancha. The young spring leaves are prized for their fresh aroma, vibrant colour and naturally sweet, umami-rich flavour.
🍃 Cultivars: Saemidori & Okumidori
Our matcha is made from the Saemidori and Okumidori cultivars, two varieties highly regarded for producing vibrant, smooth and flavourful matcha.
Saemidori is known for its bright green colour, sweetness and gentle flavour profile.
Okumidori is valued for its deep green colour, rich umami and smooth, balanced taste.
Together, they create a matcha with a naturally sweet, rich and smooth character, with minimal bitterness.
📍 Single Origin
Our matcha is grown by the same trusted farmers in Yame, Fukuoka, Japan. While our matcha may contain both Saemidori and Okumidori cultivars, they are grown by the same farmers and same field, giving the matcha a consistent and distinctive flavour profile.
